Forward an Email to Another Email account

This tutorial is for cPanel users trying to forward an email address to another email address

1. We must first login to your cPanel account via http://yourdomain.tld/cpanel (replacing yourdomain.tld with yours of course)
2. Under the email section, click on the "Forwarders" icon.
3. Click on "Add Forwarder" at the top
4. Type in the email address you wish to forward to (i.e. [email protected])
5. Type in the email address of the destination (i.e. [email protected])
6. Click "Add Forwarder"

This will forward all future email to your destined email address.

If you have an email account ALREADY setup, it will KEEP the email and send a COPY to the destination email. If you wish for the email address to be used only as a forwarder, only use the "Add Forwarder" and DELETE the existing email address in your email account.

Case #1
- In "Add Forwarder": We have [email protected] routed to [email protected]
- In "Email": We also have [email protected] added as an account
- [email protected] sends an email to [email protected]
- [email protected] receives the email message in the inbox
- [email protected] sends a copy of the email message received to [email protected]

Result: You have two email copies of the same email, one in [email protected] and another in [email protected]

Case #2
- In "Add Forwarder": We have [email protected] routed to [email protected]
- In "Email": We have NOT added [email protected] added as an account
[email protected] sends an email to [email protected]
[email protected] automatically forwards the email to [email protected]

Result: You have only one email copy that was forwarded to [email protected]
